Both industry and consumers are familiar with the beauty and durability of hard chrome. Chrome has been widely used to extend tool life, protect critical surface finishes and resize dimensions with selective buildups.
Utilizing complex anoding, B&E Electroform has the ability to plate intricate details with a uniform deposit to any area of a tool. Precision buildups has been routinely used by high precision tooling, military and aircraft industries to restore critical dimensions thereby improving wear, as well as delaying costly down time. Tooling taken out of production can be plated (and machined, if necessary) quickly at a fraction of replacement cost.
Deposits from .00005 p/s to .030+ are routine and finishes from thin matte gray to high polishes are achievable on a variety of steel, cast iron and aluminum substrates. Combining the superior corrosion resistance of electroless nickel with chrome may be recommended when tools are subjected to highly abrasive and corrosive environments.
B&E is a certified FAA Repair Station. We offer chrome, electroless nickel, sulfamate nickel and toolroom services to the Aircraft and Military Industry. |
